When Auto Receive overwrites an existing program, each transfer can create a duplicate backup entry even if the file has not changed. Set its Replace mode to 'Only replace if different'. DNC-Max compares the incoming file with the stored one: an identical upload is discarded without replacing the file or adding a backup; a changed upload is saved and backed up.
Practical checkpoint
Send the same program twice, then a changed version. Confirm the identical upload leaves the stored file and backup history untouched, while the changed upload creates the expected backup.
