Yes. An MDM workflow can retain the original name or generate a governed name as NC code returns from CAM, then associate the file with the selected machine group and managed record. Naming automation is most useful when it prevents ambiguity rather than merely enforcing a cosmetic convention.
Practical checkpoint
Test duplicate names, reposts, alternate machine groups, and rejected imports so automation never silently overwrites or misfiles a production program.
