How should I set up collision and holder clearance checks in CIMCO Edit Ultra?
Updated
Direct answer
Open Collision Settings from Backplot's Simulation tab. Use Find One for a fast first pass and Find All to inspect a confirmed problem. Scope tool-to-workpiece checking to rapid moves, begin with the default step size, apply a small justified cutter allowance, and keep hidden-model collisions enabled. To catch a holder crash, enter actual holder dimensions in Tool Manager, verify the holder appears in Backplot, and enable Tool And Models in the Stop Conditions area of the Backplot ribbon. Rerun after toolpath or setup changes.
Practical checkpoint
Run Check collision and limit errors on a known holder-to-stock interference. Confirm the Simulation Report flags it and selecting the event returns to the responsible NC line. If nothing appears, recheck the saved holder geometry and settings.
